Celtic Manor - Roman Road
Length
White 6515yds Red 5324
Par
White 70 Red 72
Description
This course varies from long open fairways and dramatic descents on the front nine, to a back nine that twists and turns through trees and across lakes and streams

Roman Road, the first of the Resort?s courses, opened in 1995 and was ranked ?the top inland course in Wales? by Golf Monthly Magazine. Overlooking the Severn Estuary with views across to Somerset and Devon, it was designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr and is named after the many Roman roads that criss-cross it, the design shaped to avoid disrupting any remains.

The Roman Road course was the host venue in 2005, 2006 and 2007 for both The Celtic Manor Wales Open and the star-studded All*Star Cup,

Course
Nefyn & District Golf Club
Description
unique 26 hole championship golf course; a view of the sea from every tee; eight holes played on the now world-famous, well photographed ?Point?, sometimes
described as North Wales? ?Pebble Beach?.
A narrow peninsula with the holes bounded on one side by secluded coves, rocky outcrops and the sea and on the other by a glorious stretch of sandy beach and a pub; a backdrop of the Snowdonia range to the east and, on a clear sunny evening, 57 miles away, the Wicklow mountains of southern Ireland to the west.

Nefyn is a golf course that can be enjoyed by golfers of every standard because in the case of so many of its holes, it invites the golfer to create the challenge ? in a phrase, ?you can do it the easy way or the hard way, the risk or reward is of one?s own making!?

Pennard Golf Club
Length
6225yds
Par
71
Description
Located 8 miles west of Swansea in the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Golf has been played there since 1896, although the course owes most of its appeal today first to James Braid and then to C.K. Cotton.

The holes are routed over classically undulating and tumbling linksland, full of hummocks, hillocks and hollows and pocked with dunes large and small; in sum, exactly what we might hope to find beside the shore.

Yet this exceptional terrain is not beside the shore - It is two hundred feet above it.

No wonder Pennard has been called "the links in the sky."

Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club
Description
Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course, affectionately known as ?P & K?. With its lofty sand dunes hugging the South Wales coast of Porthcawl is situated in a wonderful stretch of golfing country that is also home to Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.

Glorious views and historic associations adorn this undulating course with its natural hazards of hillocks, vall eys and towering dunes.

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club
Length
White 6440yds Red 5750yds
Par
White 72 Red 75
Description
Royal Porthcawl overlooks the Bristol Channel on the Glamorgan Coast between Cardiff and Swansea.
The Course has a magnificent setting sloping down to the seashore. The absence of sand hills usually found on links courses enables the golfer to see the sea from every hole and to enjoy memorable views south to Somerset and Exmoor, and northwest across Swansea Bay to the Gower Peninsula.
With holes facing into every point of the compass, the player is always tested by the wind and will probably need every club in the bag.
The status of the course is sustained by the many amateur and professional events held at the Club over the years. Among others, the Club has hosted the Amateur Championship, the Walker Cup, the Curtis Cup, the European Team Championship, the Home Internationals, the Vagliano Trophy, the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship, the Dunlop Masters, the Penfold, the Ladies European Tour and the Coral Classic.

Southerndown Golf Club
Length
White 6449yds Red5548 yds
Par
White 70 Red 73
Description
Southerndown is a hidden gem - a unique course, part sandy links, part acid-heathland. As a visitor you can share the beautiful views we enjoy: across the channel to the North Devon moors, down the Ogmore River towards Porthcawl and far away over the hills and valleys of South Wales.
Founded in 1905, Southerndown has a wealth of golfing tradition. Many championship events have been staged here over the years, and top amateurs Peter McEvoy and Gary Wolstenholme, World Champions Bradley Dredge and Stephen Dodd - and even the legendary Gene Sarazen - have all walked the turf where we play. Henry Cotton famously called our first "One of the toughest opening holes in golf!"
Southerndown is a true natural test of golf, with gorse, bracken and wind all adding to the challenge. Some call the experience ?millionaire?s golf?; waiting on the tee is rare and the course rarely closes.

The Mathern Course St. Pierre
Length
5732yds
Par
68
Description
The Mathern Course at St. Pierre Country Club is shorter than the Old Course, but equally as enjoyable with its stunning parkland design. The shorter length makes it ideal for an early morning game before work or a meeting. The Mathern Course is also a refreshing end to a day spent touring the surrounding attractions in Wales.

The Mathern Course was remodelled in 2007 by European Golf Design architect Ross McMurray. Work included the construction of 18 new tee complexes and the reconstruction and repositioning of bunkers. The project also included significant tree surgery and improvements to drainage and irrigation.

The Old Course St Pierre

Par

Description
The Old Course at St. Pierre Country Club has been ranked one of the top 120 golf courses in the world by Golf Monthly. This famous course has hosted over a dozen European tournaments, and past winners at the Old Course include Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, and Bernhard Langer.

Ken Cotton first designed the Old Course in 1961 around an 11-acre lake lined with century-old trees. A giant 400 year-old chestnut rules the second fairway, requiring a test of skill to circumvent its reach. Hole 18 is one of the finest finishing holes you are likely to play. It measures 235 yards across the edge of a lake to a raised green, requiring a precision shot to the final putt.

The Old Course was remodelled in 2008 by European Golf Design architect Ross McMurray. Work included the reconstruction and repositioning of all bunkers and the construction of 18 new tee complexes, as well as significant work to improve drainage and irrigation. The 8th and 9th greens have also been rebuilt to USGA specification and the 7th hole remodelled to create a testing dogleg par 5 which is set to open in 2009.

Seabank Hotel, Porthcawl
Description
Porthcawl, with its position midway between Swansea and Cardiff is the ideal spot from which to explore all that South Wales has to offer, then The Seabank Hotel is the perfect base for that exploration. Overlooking inviting beaches with calming sea views, The Seabank Hotel delivers all that you could wish for in a modern hotel, whilst retaining its sense of history and heritage. Built in the nineteenth century The Seabank Hotel commands the promenade with its almost ship-like exterior, much as it must have dominated the town at its original construction. Many changes have occurred since tutors boomed at the residential college-boys, yet still a distinctive character pervades the hotel, due as much to the attentive friendliness of the staff as the comfortable decor of the interior.
Visitors to The Seabank Hotel benefit from being in between the two major cities of Wales,
